New for 2024 we are offering Glass Fusing taster sessions for just £15pp!

Included in your session:
  • A 10cmx10cm glass 'blank' to use as the base for your design, this is enough to make one coaster or a couple of hanging decorations.
  • Use of our stock of glass, frits, stringers and confetti (we explain more about these in your session!)
  • Use of our glass fusing tools and library of books in our well equipped studio, including protective eyewear.
  • ONE firing - either tack fuse, or full fuse.
Optional Extras & Information
  • Additional glass can be purchased for a reasonable price during your session should you wish to make more items. These sessions are suitable for making simple suncatchers, coasters and small dishes.
  • If you are interested in making more detailed or larger projects we recommend joining us for one of our seasonal workshops, but advise participating in our taster sessions first, as with clay and ceramics it is best to make a small, simple piece to start with to get a better understanding of how your glass changes and behaves during the firing process.
  • Full tuition is not included in our taster sessions. As with our pottery painting, these are self-led sessions. While we are on hand to answer questions and give you instructions at the start of your session, you will not be taught step-by-step how to make a specific item during this session. There are seasonal workshops available for those seeking full tuition!
  • All attendees must sign a waiver before taking part in a glass fusing session. Printed waiver forms are available before you begin. For under 18s, a suitable guardian over 18 must be present to sign the waiver on their behalf and remain with the participant for the duration of the session. Failure to complete or abide by the waiver will result in not being allowed to take part in the session. Glass fusing is not suitable for under 8s.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Whilst we endeavour to keep your creations safe in our care, cracks and breakages do occur as is the nature of glass. We cannot guarantee that your items will survive the firing process. While the majority of glass items do survive, this part of the process is completely out of our control. In these instances we are unable to offer free replacements, this must be considered part of learning the art of glass fusing.
