PARTY FAQs...

How do I book a party?
Choose from that packages above, then give us a call on 01344 868455. We are hoping to offer online booking soon but are unable to do so at this time. All parties are subject to a £25 (£80 for private parties) non-refundable booking deposit at the time of booking. The final balance and any additions are due on the day of the party.

What age group is a pottery painting party suitable for?
All parties are suitable for ages 5+, 4 year olds may attend 5th birthday parties.

Where is the party held?
Parties during our opening hours get exclusive use of the 'playhouse side' of our studio, please bear in mind there may be public painters the other side of the half wall. Private parties outside of our opening hours have exclusive use of the whole studio.

What facilities do you have?
We have a hand washing area as well as baby changing facilities within the studio but due to our good old farm plumbing we unfortunately don't have a toilet in the studio. The closest ones are by The Old Grain Barn Antiques, less than a minutes walk from the studio. We recommend telling your guests to visit the bathroom before the party starts to avoid unnecessary interruptions!

Can we add the paint bar upgrade to a party?
Party packages do not include use of the paint bar. We do not recommend adding the paint bar to parties for children of any age.

What are the timings for the party sessions?
Our party times are 10am, 12:30pm and 3pm on Saturdays. Each party lasts 2 hours, with the painting usually taking around 1hr 15min - 1hr 30min, leaving 30-45min for refreshments and presentation of the cake. For private parties, these must be held outside of our regular opening times.

Can I bring my own food/order a pizza?
Our sessions are self-catering. Common options include bringing home made lunch boxes, ordering party platters from Robyn's Nest Café or ordering a takeaway (Deliveroo delivers to use from The Lexicon) We do not serve any food in the studio but have a small drinks menu available.

Can I bring party games?
You are welcome to bring along a small activity such as colouring or pass the parcel - these are not provided however. We recommend against games such as musical statues due to space restrictions.

Can I see what the space looks like?
You are welcome to visit the studio in advance! This must be done during our opening hours and does not need prior arrangement.

Can I decorate the space?
The studio is very bright and colourful with a party atmosphere however you are welcome to bring balloons and decorations. We request that you do not bring confetti or confetti filled balloons however, doing so will incur a £50 cleaning fee. We will however clean all reasonable mess left behind including food rubbish, no need to bring binbags or anything else of that nature!

Can the guests take their pottery home on the day of the party?
After the party all pottery will be fired in our kilns on-site, then ready to collect 7 days later - individually packaged with each guests name to make handing them back our a breeze!

Can I bring along a face painter/ children's entertainer?
You may bring along an entertainer but they must be counted within your non-painting adult limit. We are restricted on space, so they may need to be 'roving' rather than having their own station set up.
