New for 2025 we are pleased to be hosting hand-building workshops with our resident sculpting artist Alex!
If you're seeking a bit more inspiration and would rather some tuition then these sessions are for you.
Learn how to make a range of home décor items, from coasters and ring dishes, to soap trays and more! Your tutor will guide you every step of the way and you will leave the session having learned the basics of clay hand-building. At the end of your session your items will be fired in one of our on-site kilns. Around 6 weeks later, after firing; you can collect your ceramic masterpiece to paint at home, or for a more long-lasting and professional finish you can return to our Pottery Painting studio for another session, to paint with our full range of glazes for just £5.

Use of all of our hand building tools, clay cutters and library of books in our well equipped studio.
-
All tuition and guidance needed from our resident sculpting artist!
Optional extras & Information
-
Glazes and additional firings. You can return a few weeks after you make your items to paint them in our pottery painting studio for an additional minimum charge of £5. This charge covers use of coloured glaze, clear glaze and an additional firing - meaning your final pottery will have a shiny finish.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Whilst we endeavour to keep your creations safe in our care, cracks and breakages do occur as is the nature of ceramics. We cannot guarantee that your pottery will survive the firing process. While the majority of pottery does survive, this part of the process is completely out of our control. Even after an apparently successful bisque firing, cracks can sometimes open up during the glaze firing. In these instances we are unable to offer free replacements, this must be considered part of learning the art of ceramics.
